Stratum Aquires Landmark Building in Glasgow
Stratum has exchanged contracts on a Category A listed former bank building on St Vincent Street, Glasgow — our first acquisition in Scotland outside Edinburgh and our eighth project overall.
The building dates from 1902 and is one of the finest examples of Edwardian commercial architecture in the city. It has been vacant for seven years. We intend to change that.
Details of the proposed scheme will follow once we are further into the design process. What we can say now is that the building is extraordinary — the kind of acquisition that reminds you why you got into this in the first place — and that we are approaching it with the same care and patience we have brought to everything else in the portfolio.
